While the West Virginia Conference is about to dissolve, they do still have football to play, and the Mountain Lions of Concord are ready to defend their conference title from last year. Concord finished with a 7-1 conference record, including a win over conference powerhouse Shepherd University, and a 7-4 record to earn the schools first trip to the post season since the early 1990s. I spoke with head football coach Garin Justice about the season and his expectations going into his 2nd year at the helm.
Concord begin their season Saturday September 1st, hosting Lenoir-Rhyne out of North Carolina, with a 7p.m. kickoff.
