I have been working at Prettyman Broadcasting since 2010, doing a little bit of everything, but my passion is Sports! I graduated from Shepherd University in 2010, with a degree in Mass Communications and New Media. I hosted a sports radio show there for 3 years. I love sports writing too, so expect some fun articles on this blog. I love talking NFL, NHL, MLB and NBA. Make sure you comment on the blogs too, because I love discussing sports. After 8 years as a Washington Redskins Tight End, the team released Chris Cooley today. Cooley has always been a fan-favorite, ever since being drafted in the 3rd round of the 2004 NFL Draft. The Redskins have been through many ups and downs during Cooley's 8 years there, mostly downs, but Cooley has always been a bright spot.
The 2-Time Pro Bowler was going to earn $3.8 million this year, and with Fred Davis being the Redskins #1 Tight End, he became expendable. I expect Cooley to be picked up by a new team quickly. One that comes to mind is the New York Jets. Cooley would fit perfect in Tony Sparano's new offensive system. Only time will tell to see where Cooley ends up. We all know one thing though: He was a great Washington Redskin and always will be.
