Panhandle Live is an hour long journey across West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle.  The area's longest running local talk program offering relevant news, politics, and information to listeners.  Host and WEPM news director Hans Fogle has distinguished himself in the news industry and brings that knowledge to the conversation as he discusses the issues of the day with local officials, state leaders, business members, and anyone else contributing to life in Berkeley, Morgan, and Jefferson Counties.

Through Panhandle Live, Fogle provides his listeners with unequaled access to people making the news happen from outside their front doors to the capitol dome in Charleston.  It's a daily combination of journalism, fun, and local flavor.

Dan Dulyea got us ready for the Eastern Panhandle Home Builder's Association first sport clay shoot at Peacemaker National Training Center. The event includes one round of sporting clays consisting of 50 targets per shooter and two additional side matches to see who's the sharpest shooter in the organization. Enjoy a light breakfast, full lunch and awards/drawings. You can register online and be sure to check out the facilities at Peacemaker National Training Center.

Joe Jurand joined us to talk about the newest play coming up at the Full Circle Theater. Local play write Sean O'Leary will see his latest work Walt Whitman's Secret come to life on the Full Circle stage September 21st to 30th. Tickets are available now!





 

David Melton joined us for some important details regarding Social Security. Did you know that the month you retire can actually impact benefits? If not, you should listen to this interview. Michael Whalton joined us from the Easter West Virginia Community Foundation to discuss the Arts and Education Grants. Some real opportunity to enhance class room learning through the arts, but the deadline to apply is coming up Sept. 12th. You can fill out an application online.

 

President of the Young Democrats of America and Jefferson County native Rod Snyder began reporting to us from the Democratic National Convention this morning. Rod spoke about what must be done to capture some key voting blocks and how democratic policies match up against republicans. Rod is clearly supportive of the democratic platform, but is still a keen student of politics and gives a fair evaluation.
