Panhandle Live

Panhandle Live is an hour long journey across West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle.  The area's longest running local talk program offering relevant news, politics, and information to listeners.  Host and WEPM news director Hans Fogle has distinguished himself in the news industry and brings that knowledge to the conversation as he discusses the issues of the day with local officials, state leaders, business members, and anyone else contributing to life in Berkeley, Morgan, and Jefferson Counties.

Through Panhandle Live, Fogle provides his listeners with unequaled access to people making the news happen from outside their front doors to the capitol dome in Charleston.  It's a daily combination of journalism, fun, and local flavor.

Panhandle Live for Nov. 19, 2012

We got a chance to chat with U.S. Senator Joe Manchin this morning. He seems optimistic about what is going on in Washington. He repeated his call for common sense and compromise, but those can be difficult to deliver in D.C.

Next Pete Mulford and Tiffany Lawrence joined us from the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle to get people revved up for the Community Campaign. This year's message is “Stronger Together” and you can hear in this interview exactly why. With so much need right now, there is no way any one of us can make the difference, but together we can really change things! Learn more by visiting the United Way's website.

Bart Cookus was in to promote the Pre-Holiday 5k & 10k Run/Walk coming up at Poor House Farm Park on Dec. 8th. The event benefits Immanuel's House. Be sure to bring some TP or another toiletry item for the needy! Check out LoCo Racing to register.

And Fred Persinger II was with us to talk Martinsburg High School Football. They have a big game this Friday and want everyone to wear black in support of the team. It will be a Black Out for Black Friday at Coburn Field! Game time is 1:30pm, Fred and crew take to the air at 1:00pm on 1340AM andonline at www.wepm.com
